The prestigious New York Athletic Club, one of the world's premier private clubs, founded in 1868 located on Central Park South in Manhattan is seeking a Assistant Building and Grounds Manager.
This position is located at the Travers Island Westchester property.
The ideal candidate will assist the Building Buildings and Grounds Manager in all aspect of maintenance of Travers Island.
The candidate will direct and manage routine cleaning, maintenance, and repairs, including sweeping, painting, cutting grass, pruning, racking weeds and shrubs.
Work with the Property Manager in preparing maintenance assignments and supervise the work product.
Requirements:
Conduct daily inspection on cleaning, maintenance, and repair projects to ensure that quality standard is met.
Can perform and supervise maintenance services with hand on approach.
including providing the following services, general repairs, mechanical and cleaning maintenance.
Oversee the daily functions of the maintenance staff to ensure quality and timely completion of daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance and cleaning projects.
Qualifications and
Experience:
High-energy, outgoing personality with strong professional interpersonal skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Possesses a passion for exceeding member expectations and a commitment to excellence that results in providing the highest quality member and guest experience.
Flexible attitude for given tasks and adjustment of schedule when needed.
Physical Requirements:
The candidate must have 5 years of Plumbing, Electrical and Carpentry experience, and a valid Driver's license.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
