HR Coordinator - Temporary

Execute proactive HR strategies to support the high jewelry growth initiative for Pelham Manufacturing and the Tiffany Workshop. Based in Pelham, New York, this role supports the Human Resource generalist function with emphasis on recruitment and the support of day-to-day operations. This is a temporary job with full-time work week hours.
This role requires exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, strong Microsoft software application skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and the ability to quickly learn our internal applicant tracking system, iCIMS. The individual must be detail oriented, deadline driven, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively. Additionally, this position requires the ability to work independently as well as be an active, collaborative member of a team in a fast paced environment where business needs are constantly changing.
Responsible for timely and accurate processing, screening and reviewing pre-employment and background check materials, verifying, coordinating and processing new hire documentation to commence on-boarding activates. This includes resolving any discrepancies with Payroll and responsible for maintaining staffing files.
Partner with new hires and hiring managers throughout the on-boarding process including preparing new hire materials, first day activities and initiating new hire check-ins, etc.
Lead employee engagement activities and initiatives; serve as the point of contact for employee inquiries.
Provide various iCIMS and excel reports on staffing, headcount reports, quarterly operations review, organization charts, job descriptions and ad hoc requests as needed.
BA/BS degree or in progress
2 years Human Resources generalist experience with recruiting preferred
Efficient multi-tasker with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Strong interpersonal, communication and follow-up skills. Ability to collaborate as part of a team.
Proficient computer skills in MS Office, HRIS and applicant tracking systems.
Highly organized and detail oriented

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
